On June 6th, Lower 48 Energy, in collaboration with our Scottish planning partners Blackhall and Powis, hosted a drop-in style exhibition at Ballantrae Community Centre in Girvan, Scotland. The event focused on our upcoming proposal for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a capacity of 200MW, along with associated development and infrastructure.

We are committed to engaging with local communities, providing an opportunity for the public to ask questions, raise concerns, and learn more about our proposal through open dialogue and detailed exhibition boards. We were pleased to see over 20 members of the local community attend, including the founder of the local charity BRICC, who shared in-sights about her organisation's excellent work and gave us a tour of the BRICC thrift shop.

Key concerns raised included transport, road access, traffic flow, and noise. We have proactively addressed these issues by conducting road surveys, developing a robust traffic management plan, and collaborating extensively with our expert consultants to ensure minimal disruption.
